35 years of Pendennis: a glance at 2016

Today’s chapter of our 35th anniversary story celebrates 2016, and the launch of our largest vessel refit project to date – 86m Aquila.

The extensive 12-month refit programme included a revitalisation of all five deck levels. The team completely updated the social spaces, modernised technical systems and lighting, and restyled the boat across an area of over 750m2, the scale of which was unprecedented by any of the suppliers in such a short time period. The project went on to win Best Refit at both the World Superyacht Awards and the International Superyacht Society Awards the following year.

Refit of Constance

Alongside the Aquila project, in 2016 we were completing the major refit of motor yacht Constance, modernising systems and equipment, bringing the entire yacht up to compliance with offshore cruising requirements and refreshing the interiors to suit her new Owners.

Pendennis completed an 18-month refit of the 46m motor yacht Constance in July 2016. The yacht was originally built by Feadship as Paminusch in 1986, and initially arrived in Falmouth as Jana, delivered by cargo ship in December 2014. She entered into the 90m Hall 1 at Pendennis in March 2015 following refit preparation works.
