Velacarina

Story

Built in 2004 at Claasen Jachtbouw, Velacarina was a first-time visitor to Pendennis’ refit facility in 2010, going on to participate in the Pendennis Cup following her re-launch. In recent years the 26m ketch has travelled extensively around the world including New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific and South Africa. In 2014 Velacarina returned to Falmouth to compete in the fourth edition of the Pendennis Cup, winning the regatta.

In 2010 the project had an extensive work list that included a complete hull re-spray, new hydraulic powerpack and associated works, an air conditioning overhaul, electrical works, as well as engineering and joinery elements.

Velacarina has been a frequent visitor to both the Falmouth and Palma facilities, and is the third example of this truly Classic line of yachts that we have welcomed into the yard.
