Pendennis Graduate Training Programme

The Pendennis Graduate Trainee Programme is offered to suitably qualified candidates to help support the future growth and succession planning within the group. Successful candidates will embark on a programme designed to support their introduction to project management, technical definition, and leadership, enabling them to take their first steps within the exciting superyacht industry with potential to develop as Project Managers or Project Engineers within the Technical Teams at Pendennis.

Objectives:

  • To gain a full overview and understanding of Pendennis Shipyard, our standards and procedures.

  • To gain experience in the trades and supporting departments.

  • To gain project experience working with experienced managers on new builds and refits/restorations.

  • To carry out continuous professional development as appropriate and directed.

  • To contribute to the continuous evaluation of management and design processes and practices.

  • To provide regular updates on project outcomes, recommending future developments.

Nature of work undertaken:

Candidates will gain experience, knowledge and understanding by moving around the organisation through a structured two-year programme, completing various projects during this time. The successful graduates will initially ‘shadow’ experienced staff across the different departments to develop an awareness of the company as a whole. During this time, you will also gain a thorough appreciation of the processes used to develop a superyacht.
