Naval Architect

Pendennis Shipyard is a world-renowned leader in the custom build and refit of luxury superyachts. With over 35 years of excellence in marine craftsmanship and innovation, we are seeking a talented and driven Naval Architect to join our growing in-house team at our award-winning facility in Falmouth.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop naval architectural designs for new builds, refits, and conversions of luxury vessels.
• Perform hydrostatic, stability, and structural calculations using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and production teams.
• Support classification society and regulatory compliance processes.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation throughout project phases.
• Participate in design reviews and provide solutions to technical challenges.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree qualified in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in yacht or ship design (superyacht experience a bonus).
• Proficiency in software such as Rhino, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), and MS Office
• Strong understanding of marine structures, fluid dynamics, and knowledge of classification and flag rules
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
