Motor Yacht Gin-Tonic arrives at Pendennis for Major Refit programme
Pendennis is pleased to announce the arrival of the motor yacht Gin-Tonic to its Falmouth facility, where the vessel has commenced a significant refit programme.
Originally built in 1981 this classic Feadship is preparing to undergo a complete transformation that will begin with a series of substantial structural modifications, including stern and bridge deck extensions designed to enhance both performance and onboard guest living space.
In addition, preparations will also be made for the replacement of the yacht’s two main engines, ensuring improved efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance and she will undergo a comprehensive full paint application to both the hull and superstructure, restoring the yacht’s exterior to the highest aesthetic standards.
Paul Griffiths, Sales Manager at Pendennis commented “We are delighted to welcome Gin-Tonic to Falmouth, our previous expertise in stern extensions and transformative refits, coupled with the comprehensive capabilities of our in-house trades makes the project exactly the right fit for Pendennis.”
Giles Bassett (Owners Representative) and James Fiske of Tillow Marine have been appointed by the owners to oversee this exciting project. James Fiske, Tillow Marine commented on the project “Giles and I look forward to working closely with the whole team in supporting this complex and demanding schedule of works and in ensuring the redelivery of the yacht to her owners in 'as new condition'.”
This initial phase of the refit is expected to continue through into early 2027.
