Celebrating 400+ Apprentice Starts at Pendennis

Pendennis has welcomed nine new General Apprentices as they begin their careers within the marine industry, with a further apprentice joining the same General Apprenticeship Scheme at Cockwells in Mylor.

The new apprentices officially joined the Pendennis Group at the end of August, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter as they develop practical skills, gain hands-on experience and learn from experienced professionals across the business.

This year’s intake is also a significant milestone for Pendennis, taking the total number of apprentice starts since the company’s apprenticeship scheme was established in 1998 to more than 400.

For almost three decades, apprenticeships have played an important role in developing the next generation of skilled marine professionals. Combining practical, hands-on learning with structured training, the scheme provides apprentices with the opportunity to build their knowledge and experience while working alongside skilled teams on real projects.

The 2026 apprentices will now begin their individual apprenticeship journeys across the Pendennis Group, developing their skills and gaining valuable experience as they work towards their qualifications.

We are pleased to welcome them to Pendennis and look forward to supporting their development over the coming years.
