2025 - A Round Up

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re proud to look back on a year shaped by performance on the water, exceptional craftmanship and a variety of fantastic refit and bespoke build projects.

The season began in the Caribbean, where several Pendennis yachts delivered exceptional results at both the Antigua Superyacht Challenge and St Barths Bucket Regatta. In Antigua, SY Adela claimed victory in every race in her class, following an extensive four-month refit at our Mediterranean base, Pendennis Vilanova. In St Barths, SY Vijonara excelled, winning the L’Esprit class with three first-place finishes in the series and winning the “Spirit of the Bucket” trophy for outstanding sportsmanship. In the summer, SY Nostromo flew through the Meltemi at the Cyclades Cup in Antiparos and was victorious in the Skyphian Class, claiming Head of Fleet. At the Ibiza JoySail regatta she led the World Cruising class, only narrowly missing out on the title.

In July, Pendennis was recognised as a Top 100 Apprentice Employer for the fourth year running, and in August we welcomed a new intake of apprentices across general engineering, paint, joinery and machining.

September proved to be a milestone month. We were honoured to exhibit the iconic 59m classic motor yacht Marala at the Monaco Yacht Show, marking her debut at the show. In the same month we launched Silver Raven  - the UK’s first all-electric tour boat - she sailed from Falmouth to the River Thames and now operates as the official Tower of London river tour boat as part of the Woods Silver Fleet.

Throughout the year, an impressive fleet of superyachts visited our world-class facilities in both Falmouth and Vilanova. At Pendennis Vilanova we entered our busiest period on record, with a marina at full capacity during the autumn refit season. Across 2025, the team hauled out more than 120 superyachts using our 620-tonne and 200-tonne travel hoists, including 29 yachts in October alone.

At Cockwells the team delivered an innovative quartet of custom superyacht tenders for a large motor yacht, and were recently shortlisted in two categories for the 2026 Motor Boat Awards. HRH The Princess Royal also officially opened Cockwells’ training academy and launched the all-new Hardy 45 European. At Norfolk Interiors, our investment programme continues to grow, with the installation of a CNC machine and a new business development executive appointed.

Later in the year, we proudly relaunched the 57m motor yacht Solace following a comprehensive 10-month refit at our Falmouth facility. As we look ahead to 2026, exciting projects are already underway, and we look forward to sharing what comes next.
