Fabrication/ Plater/ Welder

To join the Fabrication team, experience in fabrication, engineering, fitting or boatbuilding is a benefit as this is a job with great variety requiring problem solving skills, an eye for detail and a desire to succeed in a stimulating environment.

Skills and experience for the role include:

Cutting/grinding/burn/gouging a wide variety of materials including sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, channel, and angle.

Perform high quality MIG and TIG welds on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

Read and understand drawings

Be able to do basic maths calculations including fractions and decimals

Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification

Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements

MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminium and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and drawing

Keep work areas clean and organised and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
