Business Systems Analyst

This newly created role would benefit an individual looking for the next challenge in their career. It involves working with all departments across the Pendennis Group to map and analyse their operational processes, identify improvements to processes that may be inefficient or based on legacy technology and implementation of new technologies to support its expanding world class facilities/workforce.

The successful applicant will help:

• Define and document the requirements, user journeys and acceptance criteria that will support the delivery of Technology Services projects.

• Support the delivery of a structured programme of business change and improvement projects as directed by the IT strategy.

• Support implementation of effective mechanisms to help stakeholders assess their needs and make timely and well-founded decisions about features, priorities, issues and acceptance criteria based on industry standard tools and methodologies.

• Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes; consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions you have made.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Group IT manager

• Develop, analyse, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers to follow

• Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs

• Manage the set-up and configuration of systems

• Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements

• Propose solutions for improving and restructuring company procedures.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience

• 2-3 years’ experience working with information technologies and systems analysis

• Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills

• Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions

• Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems

• Excellent analytical skills
