Built of steel by Astilleros de Mallorca to an Arthur Holgate design, the Yacht was christened Jessica by her original owner and is one of the largest sailing Yachts built since the 1930s. In recent years the Yacht was acquired by a new owner – who renamed her ‘Adix’.
The Yacht was brought originally to the yard in 1991 to undergo a complete program of refit and repair – and continues to be a frequent visitor to our facility.
On her most recent visit, Adix has undergone a major engineering refit linked to her MCA certification and a ten-year Lloyds survey. The work involved re-wiring, re-plumbing, the construction and fitting of two new watertight bulkheads and re-installing the engine room.
With her distinctive three-masted profile, Adix has become on the most recognizable of Yachts in the world, a feature of many classic sailing regattas, especially in the Mediterranean.
