Matanthar

Matanthar

Originally built in Holland in 1982 Matanthar (formerly Arkan), was acquired by a new owner in 1992 who decided to initiate a major refit of the yacht to provide enhanced facilities and accommodation, and cruising performance. We were commissioned by the new owner to carry out a series of major modifications designed to give the Yacht a new lease of life. These modifications included:

  • The removal of the old transom and the construction of a new version incorporating a swim platform and a larger lazarette.
  • Restyling of the superstructure to provide a new sundeck.
  • A new lightweight composite mast, complete with satellite communications for navigation and entertainment purposes.
  • Restyling of the main saloon.
  • Re-engineering of the main engine and generator exhausts from dry, to wet systems.
  • Restyling of the main saloon.

All of these changes were completed by us in 12 weeks and the Yacht was able to keep to her busy calendar of commitments.
