Construction Hall (main shed)

Our main construction hall was purpose built to house all of our superyacht build projects, as well as longer term refits. The building is 70m long x 40m wide with 12 metres head room under the door sill. This fully insulated space contains two long construction bays with overhead cranage and contains our central parts and stock store as well as technical, project and administration offices.

Terry Vernon Refit Complex

Opened in the spring of 2005, this state-of-the-art refit complex was designed to provide the perfect conditions for refitting sailing and motor yachts up to 70m in length. There are two 75m x 24m wide dry docks, the inner of which is completely enclosed and equipped with an environmental control system for the highest quality paint jobs. Adjoining the inner dock is a three storey workshop complex (totalling 1400sqm) housing painting, engineering, hydraulic and electrical workshops and extensive storage space.

Slipway and Travel Lift

The addition of a 400 tonne travel hoist to the site in 2007 revolutionised our refit capacity haul out process. The travel lift enables easy hauling of yachts from the water, and transports them directly to our construction hall or hard standing refit hall.

Joinery

The joinery workshop is self-contained within a 1200sqm modern building, divided into a wood store, woodworking machine shop, bench assembly area and building jig/mock-up area. The woodworking machine shop is fully equipped to support all aspects of interior and exterior joinery work for new builds and refits.

Bridon Marine Building

Comprising of four floors, this award winning, grade ll listed building was once a Victorian warehouse. Bridon now houses the Pendennis Sales and Marketing team, the crew offices and the training centre, which provides a range of courses for crews and specialises in the development of the surface finishing apprenticeship scheme.

Rigging and Masts

The rigging and mast shed is a 50m long x 10m wide building where spars can be inspected, refitted, re-sprayed or simply stored for the duration of the yacht's refit. All types of rigging work can be undertaken either in-house or with local specialists including THL Yacht Rigging.

Finishing

Our 200sqm finishing workshop comprises distinct preparation, spraying and drying areas for the varnishing and French polishing of interior and exterior items for yachts. All spraying is conducted in a heated, water-backed spray booth to achieve the best, high quality, dust-free finish.

Yacht Club

At the heart of the shipyard's six acre site, the affectionately known 'Yacht Club' is housed in a charming two storey, 180 year old stone building. A past America's Cup Challenge host, the building now acts as the board room and client hospitality suite. Decorated in the style of an Edwardian Gentleman's Club, the walls are lined with company and yachting memorabilia, cataloguing our history and the various projects we have been honoured to complete.
