As part of the Pendennis package a selection of training courses are now on offer. Delivered on site or in close proximity to the yard, we provide a range of qualifications for all crew from Deckhand to Captain. Bespoke training packages can also be designed for your crew.

  • Security Courses

    With the rise in pirate attacks, marina incidents and international terrorism both ashore and afloat there is an increasing need for individuals to respond to threats. We offer a unique range of courses to anyone involved in the superyacht industry which aims to improve their yacht and crew's security and safety. The courses and tailored training on offer reflect the new standards of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code).

  • Paint Courses

    Keeping the Yacht in pristine condition is an important part of the role of any crewmember. Our Paint Maintenance and Repair course is designed to help give crew the right skills to enable them to successfully patch or repair damaged coatings as well as provide information and guidance on how to maintain paintwork in the most effective manner.

    We offer instructor training courses in powerboats, motor cruisers, sail cruisers, wakeboarding, water skiing and diving. These courses will build on skills in these areas and expand career opportunities for individuals as well as providing additional services to charter clients or to teach other crew members.

  • Powerboat Courses

    Powerboat training for those wanting to drive small open powerboats such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats), sports boats and small launches. Offering courses at all levels for those wanting to increase their skills, knowledge and confidence for inland trips, fishing, safety cover for water sports, support boat for diving and tender driving in general.

  • Practical & Shorebased Courses

    We also offer a series of practical and shorebased RYA sail and motor courses, theoretical and navigation courses as well as a number of other specialist training programmes. These courses can be used simply to increase crews' knowledge and confidence, awareness of safety or as a progression to the RYA/MCA Certificates of Competence which are recognised by maritime authorities worldwide.
