Martin Palmer - Yard General Manager

Martin has been at Pendennis since the very beginning. Originally starting work at Western yachts on the shop floor, he has worked his way up to his current position on the Senior Management team as Production Co-ordinator. His role today involves the allocation of labour to projects as well as having a global view on the running of the yard and production.

Anthony Job - Fabrication Manager

AJ has been at Pendennis since October 1993, when he started on the shop floor as a welder. Like many of our managers he has worked his way up through the ranks to head his department. He has a total of 32 years experience in the marine industry, having worked at both A&P Falmouth and Woolston prior to starting at Pendennis.

Peter Gaylard - Engineering Manager

Peter joined Pendennis in May 2007 and has overall responsibility for our Engineering Department. Prior to joining he had spent 24 years in the Army as an engineer and ran a workshop of 70 tradesmen with different trade backgrounds, inspecting, maintaining and repairing a wide range of military equipment.

Daniel Tregaskes - Exterior Outfit Manager

Daniel joined Pendennis in 1990 having studied at Falmouth Marine School. He was originally taken on as a trainee, working on such projects as Adix and Taramber. Working his way up to a managerial role, he has gained experience in new build projects, worldwide warranty trips and has attended superyacht racing events. Daniel has always had a keen interest in racing, whether it be dinghies, yachts, Falmouth working boats or superyachts.

Tristan Jones - Joinery Manager

Tristan started with the company as an apprentice in 1998, within the Joinery Department, whilst completing his degree in Furniture Design. He has taken on a number of roles throughout the company which include Marketing Assistant, Estimator, CAD Technician and Project Manager.

James Fitzgerald – Electrical Manager

James is originally from Arklow, Co. Wicklow in Ireland, famed for its long heritage in boat building and the shipping industry. He joined the Pendennis team in October 2010 after running his own Marine and Industrial Engineering company for 12 years. James' prior experience included over 18 years in Electrical Engineering in London and Brighton. Responsible for 36 full-time staff in the electrical team this impressive background is a valuable asset to Pendennis.

Gordon Martin - Yard Manager

Gordy has been with Pendennis for the last 12 years, starting as a yard labourer he worked his way up through the ranks from lead hand. He now heads up our busy yard team and has 33 people working for him, including security, the stores and cleaners.

Scott Winans – Facilities Manager

Scott graduated with a degree in Economics from Kennesaw State University, USA which led to a varied career, included time as a stock broker and in sales and management. He changed his career in 2001 to follow his passion for the marine industry, working as an Engineer and Captain on dive liveaboards in the Bahamas for four years before moving to the UK. Scott joined Pendennis in 2008 bringing a valuable mixture of practical knowledge and business experience to his role overseeing the smooth running and maintenance of the extensive world-class facilities in Falmouth.

Niall Goulding - Purchasing Manager

Niall joined the Pendennis team in 2005 as the Head of Purchasing. Since graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University he has spent the majority of his time working in the satellite industry for clients such as the BBC and the Royal Navy. Now Purchasing Manager, his responsibilities include purchasing negotiations and foreign payment invoicing and accounts.

Jill Carr - Human Resources Manager

Jill joined Pendennis in 1997 initially to research and instigate an apprenticeship scheme, after teaching Geography and Careers for 17 years in Dorset, Hampshire and Cornwall. The first group of apprentices was recruited in 1998 and since then the scheme has gone from strength to strength, with over 100 people successfully passing through it. Jill became Training Manager in 2002, and was promoted to Human Resources Manager in 2009.
