Funds raised through "Movember's" UK campaign benefit The Prostate Cancer Charity (TPCC). The challenge is simple - start November clean shaven and spend the entire month growing a moustache, with money being raised from sponsorship and collection boxes. This year 72 members, including Managers and Directors, signed up - almost a third of the workforce. The most impressive moustache was awarded to ‘Man Of Movember' Craig Pound and a ‘Miss Movember' sash was a fitting prize for the MoBro with the least impressive facial hair, Chris Pollard. Following a donation by Pendennis of an additional £1,000 the Pendennis MoBros raised an amazing £8,300.00.

In order to improve our working environment Pendennis conducted an innovative 'Health and Safety Games Day' - the first training event of its type in the UK.
During the day almost 200 Pendennis staff took part in a series of games and challenges. Each of the games followed the core topics of the British Safety Council's level 1 award, covering a range of topics from chemicals to PPE; manual handling to workforce consultation. Each of the games was developed and supervised by a Pendennis manager or supervisor who had recently taken a level 2 qualification.
The premise was simple, and on the surface may seem slightly trivial, but the result was powerful - health and safety became something that everyone participated in at all levels of the business.
